How Salbeso handles your data.

Last updated: 20 September 2026

We collect as little as possible. Specifically: only what you enter yourself in the contact form, and what is technically needed to run the website. We never sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who is responsible?

The controller for the processing of your data is:

Salbeso, Kenny Blancke
Pieter Simonsstraat 58, 8700 Tielt, Belgium
Company no: 1041.625.491
info@salbeso.com · +32 456 95 37 11

What data do we collect?

When you use the contact form, we ask for:

  • your name and email address (required, so we can reply)
  • your phone number and business name (optional)
  • the content of your message

In addition, our server keeps technical log files such as IP address, requested page and timestamp. This happens automatically on every website visit and is needed for operation and security.

Finally, we measure how many visitors the website receives using Vercel Web Analytics. This happens without cookies and anonymously: nothing is placed on your device, your IP address is not stored and the data cannot be traced back to you. We only see general figures such as pages visited, approximate country, device type and browser. Read more in our cookie policy.

If you become a customer, we also process your billing details: your name, email address, phone number, billing address, company number and the payments made through your subscription. We do not keep your bank account number ourselves: it stays with our payment provider, and we only hold a customer and subscription reference.

Why do we process this data?

  • To answer your question and, if you wish, prepare a quote. Legal basis: your consent and the steps preceding a contract (Article 6(1)(a) and 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • To perform our agreement if you become a client, including invoicing. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal obligations (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c) GDPR).
  • To operate and secure the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a safe, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • To keep anonymous visitor statistics, so we can see which pages are useful and improve the website. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a usable website, for which we deliberately chose a cookieless and anonymous solution (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long do we keep it?

  • Messages via the contact form that do not lead to a collaboration: up to a maximum of two years after the last contact.
  • Client data: for as long as the collaboration lasts, and afterwards for as long as the law requires. For invoices and accounts that is seven years.
  • Technical server logs: for a limited period, usually a few months.

Who do we share it with?

We do not sell your data and do not pass it on for third-party marketing purposes. We do rely on service providers that process data on our behalf:

  • our hosting and server provider, which runs the website and the contact form;
  • our email provider, to receive and answer your message;
  • Vercel, which hosts the website and processes the anonymous visitor statistics;
  • our accountant, when you are a client and invoices are involved.
  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland), which processes the payments and your direct debit mandate;

We may also share data where the law obliges us to, for example at the request of a competent authority.

Your rights

At any time you have the right to:

  • access your data and request a copy of it;
  • have incorrect or incomplete data corrected;
  • have your data erased, insofar as we are not legally required to keep it;
  • have the processing restricted or object to it;
  • receive your data in a readable format or have it transferred;
  • withdraw your consent, without affecting what happened before.

To do so, send an email to info@salbeso.com. We respond within thirty days.

Filing a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can find a solution together. You can also always file a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels, or via gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy when our way of working changes. The date at the top indicates when the last change was made.
